Clarke Voters OK Sales Tax, Watkinsville Mayor’s Race a Close Call

Clarke County voters approved continuing Athens-Clarke County’s 1 percent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax by a nearly 4-1 margin in voting Tuesday.
