Lyndon House Arts Center Announces Fall Exhibition Opening Receptions

Fall is the perfect time of year to immerse onself in art and the creative talents of the community! The public is invited to the Fall Opening Reception on September 5 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Lyndon House Arts Center.

There will be a celebration of the five new exhibitions at the Lyndon House Arts Center. "The Georgia Watercolor Society’s Members Exhibition" is a juried show that will display a selection of watercolor paintings by its members. "Autumn’s Arrival" will exhibit a collection of woodcuts and prints by local artist David Hale. "This is It!" features art by Athens artists working in the food and beverage service industry. In "The Artist and His Collection," original works by artist James deMolyneux will be displayed, in addition to works from his personal collection by Minnie Evans and Purvis Young.

All exhibitions are open during gallery hours of Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Lyndon House Arts Center is closed on Saturdays when there is a University of Georgia home football game. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
