Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan announced appointments to both the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) and the Georgia Government Transparency & Campaign Finance Commission. Allen Yee will serve on SRTA, while Rick Thompson will rejoin the Georgia Government Transparency & Campaign Finance Commission, a group he formerly served as head of in the 2000s.

“Allen Yee’s commitment to the continued prosperity of our state will make him a valuable asset to SRTA,” said Duncan. “He understands the infrastructure needs of all Georgians and has the leadership capabilities necessary to enact positive changes.”

Duncan added, “Open government is an essential element in fostering confidence in a free, democratic society,” said Duncan. “Rick Thompson’s expertise and decades of experience will be integral to ensuring Georgians can have faith in our government and its leaders.”

Yee is a 2003 alumnus of the University of Georgia’s School of Law. He currently serves as Senior Corporate Counsel to the Coca-Cola Company.

In 2009, Thompson founded R. Thompson and Associates, a governmental compliance firm, after decades managing government regulation in both Georgia and Missouri.
