ACC Leisure Services Department Plans Easter Events

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department presents a variety of Easter events in April.

Easter Egg Scramble: Lay Park, located at 297 Hoyt St, will host the “Easter Egg Scramble” on Saturday, April 13 from 10:30 a.m.- noon. This special holiday program is for ages 1-10. The event includes inflatables, egg hunt, and refreshments. Children must bring their own baskets. The program is free of charge and registration is not required. 

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt: Lay Park will host an “Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt” on Friday, April 19 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This program is for ages 11-14. The fee is $2 for ACC residents and $3 for non-residents. This is an egg hunt with a twist. Staff will place the participants in teams as they work together to solve clues, take photos, and complete task along the way as they race against other participants to find all of the eggs around Lay Park. Pre-registration is required for the "Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt" at www.accgov.com/leisure by clicking on the “Special Events” tab.

Egg Hunt: East Athens Community Center, located at 400 McKinley Drive, will host an egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 a.m.- noon. Children will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in arts & crafts, activities, and games.
