Get in touch with your artistic side this weekend in Athens, GA!

The Georgia Museum of Art will be hosting 90 Carlton: Summer 2018 on Friday, during which guests can view the summer exhibitions while enjoying light refreshments and gallery activities. While you're in town, be sure to stop by Creature Comforts to grab a beer and see paintings and prints by local artist David Hale. All of the art displayed are brand new to the public and are on sale online, all to benefit the brewery's new Get Artistic campaign. You can also go back in time with art at the Special Collections Libraries. Currently, the library is showing Poppies and Propaganda, a display that combines a portrait series with a botanical series to remember women in times of war.

If you're more in the mood for music, check out Live Wire Athens and their Sigh in July music festival. The event will feature over 20 bands playing through Friday and Saturday.
