Athens Hosts Seeks New Volunteers and Will Hold Training Session on Sept. 27th

Athens Hosts, the organization of volunteers who act as local ambassadors at conferences and other events, will hold a training session on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at The Classic Center, 300 N. Thomas St. The workshop will include a tour of the entire Classic Center complex.  
 
Sponsored by the Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau, Hosts welcome visitors, provide local information, register conferees, or whatever else is needed to help make an event successful.  Hosts also volunteer at other community venues when requested by the sponsoring organization, but are not part of the Classic Center usher volunteers.
 
To reserve a place at the training and for parking information, contact Coordinator Marlene Bryan at 706-548-1016 by Monday, Sept. 26.  Hosts can also work at the Athens Welcome Center with additional training.
