This Friday, the streets of Athens will be filled with music in preparation for game day! Stop by the Georgia Theatre and listen to Tiny Universe or head over to The Foundry to hear The Kinchafoonee Cowboys. The 40 Watt Club will be featuring Scott Brantley and Eric Dodd and September Residency will be playing at Athens Live Wire.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
Sunday, 3 p.m.
For the 20th season opening concert, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra joins with the 200-voice Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus for this performance of Mahler's monumental "Resurrection" symphony, a landmark work both for its size and role in establishing Mahler's view of resurrection and the splendor of the afterlife.

There is a pre-concert lecture with Ken Meltzer at 2:15 p.m.

Run Your Tail Off Athens Canine Rescue
Sunday, 2 p.m.

This race supports Athens Canine Rescue which helps to rescue, foster, and provide permanent homes for unwanted and abandoned dogs in Athens. There is a 5K beginning at 2 p.m. and a 2K dog walk beginning at 2:10 p.m.  Spend your Sunday supporting a great cause!
