Governor's 2nd Annual "Buy From Georgia Month" Event March 4th

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, February 27th, 2015

March 4th Governor Nathan Deal will declare the second annual “Buy From Georgia” Month. To mark the occasion Governor Deal will present a proclamation to the leadership of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA). GMA is gearing up for hundreds of Georgia manufacturing companies to be represented at the second annual event to be held in the North Wing at the State Capitol.

The proclamation helps bring awareness about the many great products that are manufactured in Georgia and the positive economic impact that is made when businesses and general consumers commit to buy locally.

“The proclamation is another indication of Georgia’s commitment to create a business friendly environment for manufacturing. This simple idea drives sales by educating purchasing professionals in business and general consumers about the variety of goods that are produced in our state,” said GMA Founder and President Jason Moss.

As a result of the overwhelming positive feedback from the 2014 “Buy From Georgia” proclamation, the leadership team has extended an open invitation to manufacturers from around the state to participate in this historic event. It is FREE for manufacturing leaders to attend and be included in the official picture. However, reservations are required. Register at http://www.gamfgday.com

“Georgia Manufacturing Day at the capitol is an example of the type of unique events hosted by GMA. Each month GMA hosts a plant tour to education the business community and consumers statewide about what products are being made in their own back yards,” said Moss.

Recent manufacturing facility tours include:

Briggs and Stratton
ZF Wind Industries
