BankSouth Promotes Kenneth Mann as Market President in Watkinsville

BankSouth is pleased to announce the promotion of Kenneth Mann as market president of our Watkinsville branch. With more than 20 years of banking industry experience, Mann most recently served as a relationship manager and commercial lender for BankSouth.

Mann joined the team in 2003, and in his new role, he will lead the development, expansion, and retention of customer relationships for the leading community bank.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from the University of Georgia, where he lettered in varsity track and field.  In addition, he graduated from the Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending.

A longtime community volunteer in Oconee County, Mann has been involved in the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce for over 14 years and served as chamber president in 2010.

He has also been involved with the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, Athens Area Home Builders Association, Athens Area Association of Realtors, United Way, Boy Scouts, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, and the Oconee County Optimist Club.

Mann has been involved with Oconee County Recreation Sports serving as a coach for over 15 years, as well as, being president of the Oconee Warrior Track Club.  He is a member of the Athens Touchdown Club and has been a member of the University of Georgia’s G-Club-Letterman’s Club for over 26 years.
