GDOL to Co-host Vets’ Job and Resource Fair in Athens

More than 60 employers will be recruiting to fill hundreds of job openings at the Veterans Sixth Annual Spring Job and Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 11, in Athens.  

The Georgia Department of Labor and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will co-host the event. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at VFW Post 2872 located at 835 Sunset Dr. in Athens. GDOL staff will be on site to screen the applicants.   

The event is designed to assist with the employment needs of active, retired, and reserve military personnel and their families. However, all job seekers may attend.

Employers who have already registered for the event include: A.C.T. Home Care, Advantage Behavioral, Athens-Clarke County government, Athens-Clarke County Police Department, Athens Community on Aging, Athens Regional Library, Athens Regional Medical Center, Athens Technical College, Baldor Electric Company, Benson’s Hospitality, Carrier Transicold, Caterpillar, Clarke County School District, Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, Classic Center, Dayton Superior Corporation, Department of Community Affairs, and the Disabled American Veterans.
