Institute of Government Faculty Member Elected as 2021-22 Chair-Elect for National CPM Consortium

The Board of Directors of the National Certified Public Manager Consortium (NCPMC) has elected Marci Campbell as chair elect. Campbell, an Institute of Government faculty member specializing in leadership development and management, will rise to chair of the consortium next year.

The University of Georgia maintains a high profile with the consortium. Campbell has held several virtual sessions on best practices and Walt McBride serves on the Financial Oversight Committee.

The National Certified Public Manager Consortium establishes and preserves standards for the Certified Public manager (CPM) designation, a nationally accredited, comprehensive management development program specifically designed to prepare managers for careers in federal, state, local government and in other organizations with a public purpose. Certified Public Managers promote good governance and a high quality of operational leadership for public agencies, by creating, retaining and expanding programs that facilitate accountability, enhance organizational effectiveness, and provide a competency-based approach to public management.
