Athens Academy junior Ricardo Ureña (Tuba) and sophomore David Liu (Alto Saxophone)  auditioned for and were seated in the Georgia Music Educators Association’s District 14 Honor Band.  They will perform with the Honor Band on Saturday, February 12, at Jefferson High School.  

Ricardo and David will be under the direction of Michael Thomas, associate director of bands at  Lowndes High School, and Dr. Benjamin Harper, director of bands at Valdosta State University.  

Ricardo is the son of Ricardo and Janel Ureña of Madison. David is the son of Tianming Liu and  Ling Huang of Watkinsville.
