OCS Ranked #3 in State for SAT Achievement

Oconee County Schools has earned a mean SAT composite score of 1141 for the 2020 testing period, well above state and national mean scores. OCS is ranked third in the state and is just one of two systems ranked in the top 10 in Northeast Georgia.
“I commend our recent graduates, current students, and all of their K-12 teachers for continued high levels of SAT achievement,” said Superintendent Jason L. Branch. “These results are a reflection of both academic excellence, as well as students’ preparedness to excel in post-secondary experiences.”
College Board redesigned the SAT for 2017 on two sections: 1) evidence-based reading and writing and 2) mathematics. This set a new baseline for future years’ comparisons, with scores since 2017 below:
