Mark Spain Real Estate, a local, independent real estate brokerage, and sponsor at Atlanta radio station 104.7 The Fish, has granted a Fish Christmas Wish to an area family in need for the fourth year in a row. On November 25th, Mark Spain surprised Amy on 104.7 The Fish, letting her know the Mark Spain Foundation would provide her much needed help this holiday season.

The Mark Spain Foundation will provide Amy the following support: pay her December rent and a large electric bill; give a $500 gift certificate for groceries, necessities and toys for the baby, an iPad and clothes for her daughter, Angelina, and gas cards.  Spain also agreed to pay off the $3,800 Amy owed when she had to pawn her car title. In addition, Amy would receive a little pampering herself with a manicure and a $500 shopping spree. In total the Mark Spain Foundation will give more than $8,000 to help Amy and her family have a Christmas to remember.

“We have been blessed to have had a record year at Mark Spain Real Estate in 2019. With great success comes great responsibility,” said Chairman and CEO Mark Spain. “The silver lining is how it makes the giver feel, and our team feels fortunate to be able to give back to our local communities and help families through more than selling their homes.”

A resident of Gwinnett County, Amy had a position in finance before unexpected health issues required her to work on a more limited basis. Amy now works for a small non-profit in her free time and sells craft decorations online to help generate income, in addition to homeschooling her daughter, Angelina. Amy and her family will be honored guests at Mark Spain Real Estate’s holiday party on Wednesday, December 18th, and will officially receive their gifts at that time.

Mark Spain, a father of five, said her situation touched his heart. “We wanted the opportunity to do something really special for this family and make it a holiday they will always remember. We are blessed to be able to help others within our community.”
