Oconee County Schools has received an overall rating of 92.5 – an “A” and overall elementary, middle, and high school levels have all received an “A” as well, according to today’s release of 2018-19 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores. The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) assigns all public schools and districts in the state a score on a 100-point scale based on achievement, progress, challenge points, and closing the achievement gap. OCS ranked 2^nd for county systems and 3^rd overall in the state.

“To achieve at the highest levels in the state on academic achievement and school culture is a testament to our world-class teachers, incredible students, supportive parents, and excellent leaders," said Superintendent Jason Branch. "Our community-wide commitment to sustained excellence and continuous improvement is apparent in all that we do. I am incredibly blessed to lead this system of learners and applaud our entire OCS community for their contributions in making our school system what it is today."

In addition, the GaDOE released School Climate Ratings for all public schools in the state and ten schools received a maximum 5-Star School Climate Rating.
