Fortson, Bentley and Griffin, P.A. Welcomes New Attorney

Fortson, Bentley & Griffin, P.A. has added Lindsey Bunting Woodard to its law practice. Woodard, who has served as a law clerk for the firm since June 2018 while attending the University of Georgia’s Law School, has joined the firm’s tax, trust and estates practice group.
 
“We are excited for Lindsey to join Fortson, Bentley & Griffin,” said shareholder Bert Whitmire. “Lindsey is going to be a very important part of our tax, trust and estates practice.”
 
Woodard graduated magna cum laude from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2019, ranking eighth in her class and serving on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review.  She was also named a Philip H. Alston, Jr. Distinguished Law Fellow.

“I am honored to join this team of remarkable attorneys and am thankful for the ability to serve the community I grew up in," said Woodard.

Before her acceptance into law school, Woodard completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia earning a bachelor of the arts in criminal justice and sociology. A leader in her program, she was a Criminal Justice Blasingame Scholar and a member of the Alpha Pi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society.
 
A native of Oconee County, Woodard enjoys running and spending time with her husband, Thomas, who is also from Oconee County.
