On Wednesday, Sept. 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, we invite guests to enjoy a special Gullah-inspired food and beer pairing event exclusively featuring Creature Comforts Brewing Company at Pin Point Heritage Museum. The event will include a four-course and four-pint menu, and will feature Creature Comforts’ wood cellar and specialty release beer, Dayspring (Batch 3), a Grisette style beer with dry, herbal and slightly fruity notes.

The courses will include a blackberry cornbread short cake with fresh cream paired with Athena (Berliner Weisse), a low county corn salad topped with lump North Carolina blue crab seasoned with Meyer lemon and spices paired with Bibo (Pilsner), local shrimp and Anson Mills grits in a spicy sauce paired with Tropicália (IPA) and a South Carolina rice and oyster dish paired with Dayspring (Grisette).

“We are delighted to be able to offer such a fun and inventive culinary experience at our museum,” said Holly Elliott, Marketing and Public Relations Director for Coastal Heritage Society. “We hope guests walk away from ‘Pints at Pin Point’ with an appreciation for the beautiful and historic location our museum provides, as well as the wonderful low country food pairings provided by the talented Jared Wilderman from Dub's: A Public House.”

In addition to the beer and food pairings, guests can mingle and meet with representatives from Creature Comforts Brewing Company to learn more about their beer and craft brewery, headquartered in Athens, GA, as well as their recent expansion to the Savannah market.

Artist Laura Barton will be on-site working on a live painting demonstration and will have completed paintings available for sale. Barton is a local Savannah artist with a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

“Pints at Pin Point” is part of Coastal Heritage Society’s Cultured Coast event series.
