EMC Engineering Services Hires New Atlanta Branch Manager

Shannon Fein, PE, has joined EMC Engineering Services, Inc. to serve as it’s Atlanta Branch Manager and Business Developer.
 
Shannon Fain received his Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering with an emphasis in City Planning at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2000 and 2002 respectively. His 17 years of experience has covered a wide range of transportation and planning areas and includes hundreds of projects with various entities, such as municipalities, counties, MPOs, CIDs, state and federal agencies, universities, private companies, land developers, and the US military to name a few. He also has extensive experience with Big Data and the latest in industry leading technology. The last several years of his career have primarily focused on business development, client relationships and education, and fostering partnerships throughout the transportation and planning realm.
 
He is major advocate of urban areas, historical preservation, adaptive reuse, Smart Growth, and multimodal transportation options, particularly transit, pedestrians, and cycling. He is very interested in the exciting shift in transportation that is quickly approaching, particularly the emerging MaaS market and its related technology as well as connected/automated vehicles.
 
Shannon has volunteered his time over the years for a variety of entities, including the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the Transportation Research Board (TRB), the Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS), the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, the American Planning Association (APA), and the Piedmont Park Conservancy among others.
