Monday, December 10th, 2018

The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement has named four Oconee County schools to their annual list of Highest Performing Schools and/or Greatest Gains Schools. Statewide, less than 10% of schools receive this level of recognition, which is based on College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) data from the last three years. In Northeast Georgia, a total of seven schools were named to the list – four of which are in Oconee County.

“I commend our teachers, principals, students, and parents for their dedication to academic excellence – and for sustaining that excellence, as these awards are based on results over a three-year period,” said Superintendent Jason Branch. “I congratulate these schools and their respective school communities on this well-deserved honor.”

Highest Performing Schools must earn a three-year CCRPI Achievement Score in at least the 93rd percentile. Greatest Gains Schools must earn a three-year CCRPI Progress Score in at least the 93rd percentile.
