Oconee County Schools has ranked 2^nd for county systems and 5^th overall in the state on the 2017-18 College and Career Ready Performance Index, released by the Georgia Department of Education. The Georgia Department of Education assigns all public schools and districts in the state a score on a 100-point scale based on achievement, progress, challenge points, and closing the achievement gap. OCS has once again scored in the top tier of the state. In addition, the GaDOE released School Climate Ratings for all public schools in the state today.

Oconee County has the #1 overall high school score in the state at 93.1. Eight out of ten schools have the highest possible school climate rating with 5 Stars. In addition, OCS’ CCRPI rating places it in the top 3% of districts statewide.

CCRPI was re-calculated this year; thus, scores are not comparable to previous years. Weights for components and indicators within the five CCRPI areas have changed, along with the number of indicators within each component area. The component areas are content mastery, progress, closing gaps, readiness, and graduation rate. This year’s data creates a new baseline. This year’s results are below:
