Critical Care Nurses Symposium Set for November 6th at St. Mary's

The Athens/Classic City chapter of AACN, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, will hold an educational symposium on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary's Hospital Flower Suite. All healthcare professionals are invited to attend.

The symposium is approved for 4 continuing education hours by the AACN, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The symposium is free for AACN Athens chapter members; $20 for others.

Presenters, their specialties and their topics will be:

  • Moti Samaki, MD, nephrology, "AKI: Acute Kidney Injury"

  • Bradford Burgess, MD, emergency medicine, "Critical Care Medicine Devices and Tricks Update"

  • John Edry, MD, neurology, "Neuro Update"

  • Jacob Leon, MD, infectious diseases, "Infectious Disease Critical Care"
