More than 200 ISEC employees will build or repair homes alongside Habitat homeowners this year through the company’s national partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Their efforts will help revitalize neighborhoods in Canada and seven U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Nevada, Texas and Washington.

New homes will be sold to a qualifying homebuyer who will invest hours of sweat equity and make affordable mortgage payments. Habitat homeowners are selected through an application process based on level of need and a willingness to partner by investing time and effort, spending hundreds of hours building their home.

“We are excited that ISEC has joined our efforts to give a hand up to those in need of affordable housing,” said Lynda Smith, senior director, Corporate Relations, Habitat for Humanity International. “Their support, both financially and through volunteer efforts, will help put even more families on the path to independence and stability.”

Driven by the vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live, Habitat helps homeowners achieve the strength and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Having a stable home leads to improved health, stronger childhood development and increased financial independence.

“The ISEC Foundation was created in 2006 to give back to the communities in which we work and live,” said Jeff Walker, vice president, ISEC. “All the employees of ISEC are proud to use our strengths and abilities in construction to volunteer alongside Habitat for Humanity families.”
