Oconee County Elementary School and Malcom Bridge Middle School have once again both been named 2017-18 Title I Highest Performing Reward Schools, a prestigious designation from the Georgia Department of Education.

“We offer our sincere congratulations to the teachers, students, administrators, parents, and staff at Oconee County Elementary and Malcom Bridge Middle for being named Title I Highest Performing Schools,” said Superintendent Jason Branch. “With only 81 schools out of around 2,200 in Georgia receiving this honor, this is truly an outstanding accomplishment. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of these school communities in demonstrating our systemwide commitment to sustained excellence."

A Highest Performing School is among the five percent of the state’s Title I schools with the absolute highest performance, over three years (2014-16), for the “all students” group on the statewide assessments. Oconee County Elementary has been named a Title I Reward School in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The school has a current CCRPI score of 85.9. This is Malcom Bridge Middle’s second consecutive year as a Title I Reward School. The school has a current CCRPI score of 93.3.
