Gov. Nathan Deal, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, unveiled “Encourage,” the fifth installment of the "Real Teachers Real Voices” campaign. This initiative, which highlights exceptional educators around the state, stems from feedback provided by Deal’s Advisory committee. “Encourage” features Shenise White, an educator at Springdale Park Elementary in Atlanta.

“I vowed that when I became a teacher, I would use my influence to foster that same love for learning in my students that I taught in hopes that they would not only be academically successful, but that I could help instill in them a love for themselves and for others,” said White. “This is one of the greatest rewards of this profession – touching the lives of others and helping to shape the future generations. I encourage. I love. I teach.”
